I came to SE2 after recovering from a glute and hip flexor tear.  I was still limping, and I was in a lot of pain.  My pain path started in my lower back and wrapped around my hip to my groin, and ran down my leg.  Schmid talked to me about muscle activation therapy, something I knew nothing about, and he put me on the table.  His knowledge of muscles is vast.  He knew exactly how I had to move my leg to activate certain muscles. 

He knew the exact areas to work on without me even being specific.  He knew more where my pain was than I did! He worked all areas of my glutes, my quads, inner and out hip and my lower back.  There was a lot of pressing, holding and checking and re-checking for movement and range of motion. After three one hour, intense sessions, I wasn’t limping and I was well on the road to recovery.

I then hired Schmid as a personal trainer to strengthen my muscles and to lose some weight.  He helped me to identify my goals by asking questions and educating me about muscle fitness and healthy food intake.  I thought I knew everything about diet and exercise, but he helped me to sift through a lot of misconceptions I had. 

His program helped me reach my goals of reducing my areas of pain, strengthening my weakened muscles, and reducing body fat. After 30 days I was 12 pounds lighter, pain-free and pushing past my self-imposed limits.  He showed me that I could safely lift more than I thought, and I learned that I could work at a much higher level of intensity than I ever imagined.  Goodbye, endless cardio that never showed results, goodbye fad workouts and diets, and goodbye wasting my time in the gym with halfhearted efforts.  

I will continue to work with Schmid so that I can stay fit and healthy for the rest of my life!
